Who knows...Apple and IBM have worked together
in the past like oh say the PowerPC chip. Perhaps we are talking
the same thing here? Or we might be talking about two different
techs that do essentially the same thing? I don't know why IBM
has not patented it's tech..unless it got it from someone else like
Apple in a co-opertive fashion and Apple being the picker of nits
that it is decided to wait until it felt the tech was perfected and
is now acting on it.. Could be any number of things in play here.
