>>> Probably becuase of your demeaning terminology, insults beget insults>>>
Most of your "contributions" on this site have been arrogant, condescending cheap shot replies (rather than original posts) so those who live by the sword...

for your latest typical response.)
masochism: the deriving of pleasure from being offended, dominated, or mistreated in some way; the tendency to seek such treatment
Explain how that is inaccurate in describing the relationship between MS and it's more-than-willing, "happy" Windows(and other MS apps)-buying customers...
>>> ..all computers are not created equal...
Your bits are bigger than mine?
Same for hammers but it's still down to the carpenter to produce the goods. >>>
Bet my pneumatic jackhammer does a better job of breaking up that concrete floor than your "bitty" hammer.
Yes, computers (and the OS it requires) are different. Trying to argue the point with irrelevant nitpicking "bits" is ridiculous ands shows you have little credibility or substance.
Or are you going to claim a $500 cheapie "PC" is equivalent to a $5000-8000 workstation (PC, Mac, Sun or otherwise)? Both are "computers" are they not? They are "different" (not equal/same) are they not"? You have no legitimate case to make, do you not?
>>> ..many are missing out on a better experience...
'Better experience' = very subjective. >>>
Yes but should that be dismissed when one makes a computing (or any other) choice? Why is it what many Mac users value in their machines is so foreign or objectionable to Apple/Mac bashers?
I value the out-of-the-box ease-of-use, quality (software and hardware), reliability, and overall experience of a Mac vs MS/Windows so why do I supposedly receive less value ("double the price"; "slow"; numerous other misinformation, negative perceptions and opinions) in the view of Windows users?
I value my time and (relatively) trouble free computing experience using a Mac and I don't need to be a tech-head to keep my box running from day to day. (just as I don't need to be a mechanic to drive my car or electrician to run my microwave, TV, other appliances...)
You conveniently ignore the points made (tic, others, myself) about "why do consumers endure and accept such "crap" from a Windows computing experience" compared to other consumer products.
YOU and many who cruise this site may be technically savvy but do you really believe the "average, non-techy, Ma & Pa" computer buyer are able to keep up with the constant hassles of maintaining a Windows box? Why should they have to?
>>> ..Why do many car enthusiasts just enjoy driving their cars...
Just BMW drivers or can drivers of other cars enjoy driving too? >>>
Some people buy their cars BECAUSE of the driving experience. They consider it more than a tool to get from point A to B. That's not to say others cannot enjoy driving. Just don't dump on those that choose to buy and drive something they see as having some sort of additional value or worth.
>>> ..So maybe not better in a definable way but often happier and more satisfied....
And their farts smell like summer meadows.
It's a computer, flowery retoric doesn't make it a better computational device. >>>
Sorry to see you spend your time smelling farts. Or are you confusing that with the stench emanating from your Windows box?
Why can a user not be happier and more satisfied using one product over another? That's not "flowery rhetoric", that's deliberate and/or smart consumer choice. Or do you deliberately buy things that cause you grief, stress and a less than satisfactory (in the opinion of many) user experience? Oh right... you choose to use Windows... never mind.
>>>..Pain and misery loves company?...
You'll have to ask that at your next Apple users meeting. >>>
See, there you go again with your charming wit and demeanor.
I've never suggested the Mac is perfect but it just seems that way next to Windows.
>>> Why do apple users always have to go on and on about how superior they are?
You're not. Gt over it. >>>
What's "superior" about simply making a different choice and having articulating legitimate reasons for making such??? (and usually having to make them to counter misinformation and attacks)
It would seem many Window using Mac bashers are the ones who need to "get over it".
It's amazing such a lowly, supposedly irrelevant company (Apple), it's products (Mac. IPod, etc) and the people who praise them and/or choose to use them causes such consternation in the Windows world. Isn't boasting and bragging about the supposed "90%" enough?
>>> Why does that bother many Windows users so much? Pain and misery loves company?...
BTW, I am a Mac owner and I used to support them (and their users) and that's why I have such a problem with the superiority claims. >>>
Your low credibility rating just hit negative numbers if you're trying to dismiss the numerous real quality problems and critical security issues with Windows (and many MS apps) relative to OSX (and many Apple apps).
That's not superiority claims, that's a reality or are you dismissing almost daily negative stories about MS/Windows/MS apps across varied tech media as some grand illusion and fiction? Explain away how a typical Windows box simply connected to the Internet can become infected within (an average of) 20 minutes.
<<< Wanna buy an old PowerPC or Power Quadra? >>>
No thanks, I'm "superiorily" happy with my Dual G4 (I haven't even reached or needed the G5 yet). Do you want to buy an old 486 or Pentium I? - Posted by: MacCanuck Posted on: 12/22/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
