That's making an assumption...
The plane was dark. This was the public area of the plane. There were no passengers. Only that she was in uniform abets the assumption that she was on company time. It's a big stretch to assume that she was on the clock instead of merely on the property. Haven't you ever worn your company uniform while not on company time? Merely stepping on company property while in uniform does not put you on company time.
