Unfortunately, No_Ax is right.
Remember during the Presidential campaign a woman working for a very Republican small company owner announced she was going to vote for Kerry. Having nothing better to do a little while later, she went to work for Kerry.

I would like to think she has a chance in an eventual suit. But, as you said, she's going to have at best a long wait.

Sometimes hiring at pleasure is more like on sufferance. Until a job is seen consistently as valuable property, unfair results may be expected. The power disproportion between wage payer and wage earner is huge.
