Stuck in the age of the electronic dinosauria !
Most companies around the world dealing in software products are stuck in the age of electronic dinosauria. Software is something that is copied easily and infinitely. The tools to do so are made available cheap and without restriction. Also no restrictions can be placed because it is likely to infinge on somebody's liberty. Now isn't that a big no no ! It is not beyond possibility that you could take a print of the code and then recreate the software as is on another machine. So I think that it is necessary for companies to do buisness in radically new ways that do not have any resemblence to 20th Century electronic dinosauria.
