Umm yes, let's do. Care to provide any proof that video games made them do it? Oh, you mean you just accepted the media's interpretation of why they think those kids did it? What if those kids suffered from undiagnosed bipolar disorder or paranoid schizophrenia? How about this: it is IMPOSSIBLE to determine whether games make people violent of not. Why? In all these studies that were done, did any include: the phychiatric/medical history of these kids, any meds (maybe psychotropic) that they might have been taking, what kind of social life they had, how they got along with their peers, if they exercised regularly, if they were abusing alcohol/drugs, if they had low self-esteem, if they were bullied by others, if they had good family relationships, if they had a stable family life, etc? The list could go on much longer, but you see the point. The "studies" that were conducted were a bunch of unenlightening crap which proved nothing. What they most likely did was put these kids in a room over the course of three months or so and had them play violent games. At the end of the period they gave these kids a questionaire and asked such things like: "do you envision hitting other people?" to which these kids probably replied: "yeah I've thought of slapping someone upside the head". And with this "admission" the "doctors" slapped each other a high five and immediately rang the nearest Christian conservative organization to tell them that, yes indeed, violent games lead to violence.
BTW, care to tell me what games Hitler played? Or the whole German Republica for that matter? What games did Dahmer play? How about Son of Sam?
