Isn't this sort of a pyramid scheme? Would it be legal?

Letting the consumer that offers upload bandwidth of further distribution receive some monetary compensation for it may encourage people to use this kind of "crippled" P2P software that charges money for the RIAA/MPAA. Careful wording of the terms can probably make it legal. Small sums accumulated this way could be used to buy more music, while larger sums would be refundable, so perhaps some people can make money distributuing music and video from their home computers. Expect spam advertising torrents!
