Look here, "right of first sale"-er....
Computers are a combination of hardware and software. Even if you had no OS, no games, no start-up screen, within the chips themselves there is code embedded. That code is proprietary. Mess with it, and you get knocked on the head. Maybe it'll be the government, or maybe the vendor will go after you (as in this case). It doesn't matter what else you "think" is yours or you "believe" is a "right", but that's the reality of the computer world.

And another thing. Have you ever played an honest game against someone that was cheating? Was that a barrel of fun or what? What about paying $200 for the console, maybe $50 for a fancy joystick-gizmo-thngy, plus $50 for a game, plus a monthly service fee just so that someone on the other end can cheat his way to a higher "rating" on the game boards? Boy that's sooo much fun. I love throwing money out the window. Apparently you do too...

I can't believe you are actually arguing FOR a bunch of 12 year olds to ruin the game experiences for everyone else??!!
