How the heck did this turn into an MS/Linux Gripe Session?
This article is about Tivo.
From my understanding Tivo uses Linux. Okay.
People modify the Tivo box for enhanced viewing options. Okay
MS is trying to tighten media control. Okay a bit of a stretch for the article subject, but it can slide in.

However, I'm a bit lost in the leap from MS tightening media control, to the lost of warranty of tivo if you hack it, to Red Hat not supporting non-Red Hat distros.

If this is how the talkback is going, I'd just like to point out, that darn my auto insurance won't cover my laptop if I drop it while water sking.
