kind of moot points for most people

Most people don't have HD TV, and I'd hate the
kids to have the sound banging out too loud. I
don't have neighbours within a few hundred
metres, but I still don't want to blast my
eardrums out.
Betamax didn't win even though it was
"technically superior". Appeal to the masses.

To me a quiet, small PS2 with built in network
connector is the greatest. I'll buy an LCD
projector as a TV soon, but I doubt the graphics
would be much better with Xbox over PS2 from what
I've seen. I'll probably get both eventually, but
the only thing the Xbox is known for (by me
anyway) is Halo, which isn't enough.

But hey, different people want different things.
To some a giant big console with lots of fan
noise is acceptable for the performance you get.
To others, they'd rather lose 20% performance and
have a nice quiet little thing. Different
strokes.
