In this case, it wasn't Rose's original idea though. These
widgets have been part of the Mac OS since it's inception.
What they're doing with Dashboard is expanding on them,
making them very easy for end users to build their own by
allowing them to incorporate html, xml, AppleScript, and
Flash, and putting them all in one place.

What they have in common with Konfabulator is that they
are called widgets, a term they've been called by Apple for
years, and that they look similar, but Konfabulator widgets
have taken cues from Aqua with regard to their visual
design, so who borrowed from who? Konfabulator has it's
own authoring environment too, so you have to learn
something new in order to create your own, whereas
anyone who knows html, xml, AppleScript, or Flash can
make their own Dashboard Widgets.

I give credit to Rose for building a nice app in Konfabulator,
but his crying foul is really a case of sour grapes.
