my hopes for today
1) the majority of americans actually get off their butts and vote
2) whoever wins, wins by enough of a majority to make it clear that was what the nation wanted

my prediction: no matter who wins today (or in 4 weeks or whatever), not much will change in the country. and, in four years, all the folks who thought this was the 'most important election ever', will be saying the same about the next one.

other than that, more power and prayer to us all. regardless of which one of these schlubs gets elected, we will need it.
