No...YOU are missing the point Milly.
I'm been to many of these "developing countries" like distant parts of Russia (Rostov, Gukova, Ukranski) Some of these are little villages that barely have running water. I'm also been to Romania, and several other very economially poor countries.

First, that's great that they don't need a fan...yippie skippy. The machines we are describing are $50 less...and that is AMERICAN RETAIL PRICING!!! So you know Walmart, or whoever, is making money on this thing or they wouldn't sell it.

In these countries, $50 could cover over 2 years of the extra electricity it would cost over this low power model.
Heck, in Gukova, $50 is two months rent! (That would be about $1500 in rent here in America)

The point is, these people could get more computer...that lasts longer, runs better, and has a lower TOTAL COST OF OWNERSHIP than one of these boxes AMD is producing.

Its also not a point of "Where there is a Walmart" as you put it. It was just an EXAMPLE of a PC that is better, stronger, faster, etc...for LESS money.

Sorry to sound so blunt, but it seems you were missing the point more than others.
