Resolving the contradiction.
Wasn't until I reread that I realized my first statement said computers work by human logic and my second said that machine AI is going to be different from human thought processes.

Okay, look at it this way. We have ways of categorizing things, making analyses to produce static observations. Then we work on them with certain well-tested procedures. We can incorporate principles to simplify, but we also need to make sure we have the flexibility to see the unexpected.

A computer, on the other hand, doesn't have to worry about the unexpected, being fast and thorough enough to look at everything. The amount of variation which can be examined is limited only by the mechanical capacity of the machine and the time available.

It's that unwearying quality to machine "thought" that creates the difference between peoples' and computers' processing. I think an effective AI will start from the very human and work gradually to a completely different mode of cogitation by removing more and more expectation, having fewer and fewer shortcuts. Ultimate objectivity.

That make sense now?
