Monopoly? They learnt from the best - Microsoft
IMHO, ever since Jobs returned and brokered the Office/share deal with Microsoft, Apple has changed some of it's business practices to match MS. It's unfortunate that it had to be that way, but the company has gone beyond just surviving and now is a chance of dominating a field again. (Could have slapped me with a trout ala Monty Python & I wouldn't have been more surprised to find that it was in the music industry tho').
