Apple whistles a happy iTunes

Apple did it right: Apple's dominance of online music and players is simply
because they did it right when they designed the total music
environment - the iPod, iTunes and The Music Store. The efforts
and investments they made paid off pretty well for them and
presented an excellent model for the competition to follow.

As for the competition, Apple showed them how to do it and
they still get it wrong. My guess is that they are not willing to
make the investment in money and talent to match Apple. They
come up with something fast and get good press as the next
