- This could be better than the iPod ...

A friend of mine has an older Virgin 256MB flash player that I like for two reasons:
1. Plug it in and it is detected as a removable drive ... no crappy iTunes or 'manager' software required.
2. It has a bookmark feature whereby I could be listening to an audiobook, bookmark my place in a file, switch over and listen to some music mp3 files, then switch back to the audiobook exactly where I left off before. To quote my friend, this one feature is the cat's FRIGGIN' meow
It's the only device I know of that has this feature, and one which I will be putting to use if this player also has that feature.
