WMA is an open standard, because...
WMA is an open standard, because its Microsoft, and you know anything MS makes is the standard, cuz MS said so. It can even be called an "open standard" because it works with all MS products! Just ignore the royalty fees to MS, those dont count in regarding it as an open standard.
