Its All About the Money
Why not go with XM when its doubtful that Sirius will even be around 2 years from now? Well XM has Opie and Anthony in the mornings who were enough of a threat to Howie that he made Infinity Radio keep them off morning drive time.
So why go to Sirius or even satellite radio? Is it about freedom of speech or even about doing the show he really wants to do? Nah. Its $500 million over 5 years. That offer was apparently enough to get Howie to stay in a format that he has put down increasingly over the years. So what if he can use any language he wants...still the same old thing. Howard is scared not to have the radio show because its the one thing that keeps him in front of the public constantly. Its kinda pathetic that Howard is so insecure that he feels the need to have to have the radio in order to deliver the audience to his other ventures.
