Let's try to OBJECTIVELY figure out what Rep Ron Paul was thinking. Hmm, its pretty hard being elected to Congress as a Libertarian - there's probably only one in Congress! (Gads, I even voted for this guy for president in 88). Ok, 1 Libertarian, 1 vote against the 2 major parties - I guess that's understandable. Libertarians hate government control of any kind - so I can understand his viewpoint (not neccessarily agree with it). Is this a case of the sheep going together to the slaughter? Spyware is limited to ONLY MacroHard OpSys, so I can see the evil corporate interest behind their stooges in Congress (isn't it scary that M$ can control our Congress?). Another point to make is that the USA does NOT CONTROL THE INTERNET - it is a global enterprise. I wonder what out Canadian friends would say about ANOTHER US law governing the internet. It takes a lot of guts to be a lone dissenter - more guts than the 100+ reps that DIDN'T VOTE. Maybe they all use Linux or Mac and didn't have an opinion . . .
