Not just a screen please...
I don't have a 10k TV, but I do have a Sony with the Wega engine. The "extra" features that this engine provides allows me to have a wonderful picture even from low end components like camcorders, cheap DVD players, and over compressed satellite signals.

All of the devices you want to hook up to your TV will not put out the same quality of signal. Imagine trying to tune the picture on the TV for a good DVD player and a not as good VCR. Toss HD tuners into the mix and you've got a nightmare.

My TV has 7 inputs each with independent memory for optimized picture quality. Without these features, it would be hell to have a consistently great picture from different components.

This was one of big factors in favor of the Sony over other TVs with two or three inputs. You could get an AV receiver with a bunch of inputs, but you will have to settle for a less than optimal picture.

Just having multiple inputs on the screen won't get you an optimized picture. With a 70 inch screen, you'll want to have some kind of video processor which is going to be more expensive than the Wega chips integrated into the TV. I don't know if these video processors will have independent memory for each input (assuming multiple inputs) or now. If not, how expensive is it going to get to buy multiple videop processors?

If the wega engine isn't good enough, then you're going to start spending in the multiple thousands of dollars anyway. Have you heard of $100k+ home theater setups? That does include remodeling your house, but a good chunk of that is AV equipment too.
