I seriouslly doubt that

Because Ms thinks they are clever by avoiding a recall, a class action lawsuit, etc ... they have pretty much killed the Xbox as a consumer product.

I doubt that very much. What is the percentage of defective machines? less then a percent? two? three?.

Three to 4 percent is about average for consumer electronics

I also hear that the PS3 has racked up a good number of defective consoles itself, so once again, what are the percentages?

People understand that defective models exist in the marketplace for pretty much all items, and in the end, as long as it is taken care of quickly, effectively, and free of charge most people are willing to just shrug it off.

Such is the way of things.
