Well, well, welllllllll......
So there is a gap between the number of phones sold, and number activated in the first two days of sales, which is the last two days of the quarter.

Fascinating.

Stay on top of this SalesGapGate. Assign your top reporters. Camp out at the Apple Store, and at the Apple Campus in Cupertino. Go without sleep for weeks at a time. Sure, you will suffer in the short term, but one day you will be able to tell your grandkids "I tracked down the reason for the difference in numbers in SalesGapGate," and then add, with a certain air of insouciance "Only *I* know the identity of Deep Gap." and then you can bask in the ooh and ahhs that are sure to follow.

But, in contemprary society, this is pretty much a non-starter of a story.
