Vista lasted approx 30 mins on my system
I tried Vista on my main computer at home ... after using Linux on it for over 2 years.
Loaded Vista on ... checked out Device Manager or what ever it's called in Vista now ... found my scanner and printer were not detected ... no drivers on the net for them either.
Well that was the end of Vista ... didn't even try to see what else I couldn't find ... Vista lasted a whole 30 mins if that on my machine.
Windows XP Home went back on as well as OpenSuse 10.2 ... OpenSuse now is back to being my main operating system ... at least it finds all my hardware without problems.
Vista will stay on the shelf till my next Hardware upgrade ... maybe 2 more years down the track.
There is no way I'm going to spend more money on new equipment when my old equipment ... that is not really that old ... is working fine for me right now just to run Vista.
