Right, you are! Vista Installs Can Take HOURS
You are right about some things taking longer on Vista than XP. I have watched in open-mouthed amazement as Vista took over an hour to install drivers, software, and the like. The worst offender to date was the Bluetooth stack, which took close to TWO HOURS to install all the dozen or so profiles. Vista may be more "secure", but the administrative security routines running under the covers are making tasks that used to take minutes or seconds under XP, take an hour or more under Vista.

And would someone please tell me why Vista still takes 3 minutes to start up, even with 2 GB of RAM???
