Vista lost me when it wouldn't peer-network with anybody else
It is a major problem that, out of the box stock, Vista will not home network (peer-to-peer) with XP or Linux Samba (that I tested), or presumably Win 2000 or Macs as well.

It is clear that either MS didn't test this scenario because they were blinded by all-Vista corporate think, or (perhaps even worse) they were trying to obsolete their other OSs as fast as possible.

Based on blogs, posts, discussions, and other user feedback that I've seen, it is clear that the user community as a whole hasn't figured out (yet) the clear step-by-step menu to defeat this incompatibility.

So Vista last lost me.
