Dell Brings back XP...
Dell makes money selling buggy whips. As long as there are some sales, they will hang on with their teeth.

Dell can't see that there is a huge demand, 10 times the XP demand?

Blinded by tradition, and unable to switch to new technology, that, by the way, costs them nothing to do.

Unless, of course, Dell gets a huge profit from all the nagware, trialware, that comes with Vista or XP?

Hey, trying to hang onto the last dregs of sales of buggy whips vs. jumping over to the 'New Technology' of GNU/Linux is an almost impossible decision, very hard to do for huge, sluggish, corporate sloth!

http://livecdlist.com and http://distrowatch.com is something everyone needs to look at, while thinking about the 1,000 DLs per hour, 24/7/365.

Hey, those are not geeks asking for XP. Geeks know where to buy better systems, cheaper. Dell is moving too slowly, with too little effort, to fulfill any desires of the geeks.
