RE: No end in sight to hacking of 'WoW' accounts
I was just recently hacked and later when i played my account after a GM said it was ok to, had it shut down. They only seem to care about gross profit. This is offensive how they have handled my account being stolen. I cant believe I spent this much time playing a game just to have all the time and money (money in rl and vurtual money) taken away in a flash. Blizzard is just a huge corporation out for money, they are all about the numbers. If your account is hacked they just might throw you aside in favor of mass money. I had heard people talk about this before but disregarded it for the sake of the game. I played hundreds of hours an thought my account was safe. It wasnt, and Blizzard could care less. From what I hear this isnt all that rare, if you get hacked... gl, start all over again....! This has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had as a consumer in general. I mean all this time and they brush you aside like your just a number. I guess i expected more from company that deals in such a personal medium that requires such a big commitment. I cant believe how they treat people from my experience and reading about others similar experiences. I cant imagine what they do to "shady" players. I actually played honest and by the rules, no hacks, no mods (think I was the only one without mods), no gold buying, nothing outside of regulations. Overall the game is pretty good not great by any means. Just know when you play that your at the whim of many others, players, employee's and most of all gross net profit, before you dedicate any ammount of time to playing this game. Take it from someone who respected the game, but became a "risk" simply for being hacked, which had nothing to do with my own actions but completely that of others. If you decide to play anyways, GL and I hope you have a better experience in the long run, than I did. Peace.
