- Have people forgotten the reason for playing MMORPGs?
-
I find it interesting that all of the comments so far are about computer security and the usual OS bashing. Doesn't anyone besides me find it silly that people actually place a dollar value on WoW assets? The whole reason behind playing an RPG is to have fun gradually building up and developing your character into something unique, and in an MMORPG to socialize with other like minded players. If you're not willing to go through the quests to get the rare items, or you skip the whole process and pay others to power level your character (yes, these services actually exist) then what's the point of having a WoW account in the first place? The fact that there is enough money to be made here to attract hackers and foreign mobs speaks volumes about the strange attitude some players have.
It makes me think back to the South Park WoW parody (Make Love, Not Warcraft) but I guess that's not a bad thing because it was really hilarious. :-D - Posted by: Tank252ca Posted on: 04/11/07 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
