photoshop already can do some 3D
well, I don't think they are going to make it a modelling/rendering package, they will probablly go for texturing tools
and the idea is not new, there already is ObjectPainter by cameleon-labs, you can texture objects in Photoshop with the 3D view of the object, it works with PS 6.0 and up
