Can't see the point?
It connects your PC to your TV wirelessly (well, the iTV uses wires to connect to the TV but the connection to the PC is wireless).

You can therefore put your PC anywhere within range (50m or so) and use it to stream content to your TV. The remote lets you control the stream from wherever you are watching so you don't need the PC directly connected to your TV. Also, someone can be using the PC for some other purpose while you use it to stream content (or surf the web or whatever).

It's for people who have a PC with a big drive and lots of content that they want to easily stream that to their TV - iTunes movies are an obvious target.
