I hear ya...BUT...
I picked up a 20.1" 5ms 2000:1, and it looks REALLY REALLY GOOD, compared side-by-side to a recent vintage 19" 1600 x 1200 CRT. BF2 runs like Jack the Bear, what's ghosting and flickering? Don't see any @ 60-plus FPS... My old eyes are getting dim, but I know photog and video a fair bit, and I never thought I say I think I "like" the LCD more, a lot more. Now, to be fair, I should isolate them individually, and stare at them them a bit. And use a new CRT, too. Find some decent gray scales and a colour generator, etc...
