Players just want to have fun. Of course most of them only think about themselves! It's a fricken game.

That said, I have thought about "the big picture". As I've pointed out, Blizzard could fix this problem. But, they won't. They want people to waste their time. That's how Blizzard gets money, by keeping people playing for as long as they can take money from them. Nevermind that grinding through quests which you've already done a million times is boring.

Let people make characters of the same level that they've already quested to. Then, I can create a character that matches the lower level of a friend. Then, I can join my friends on another server without leaving my friends on my previous server. Then, I won't need to buy a new character or pay someone to level up through the parts I HAVE ALREADY GONE THROUGH. The side effect of all this will be that the paid character trading which they appear to hate will dry up.

Blizzard needs to realize that it is a game company first and foremost. Remove the boring grind and get out of the way of users having fun.
