GPL violation? Hardly.
It's a little amusing to hear someone attacking a company with an attack they'd
easily realize was a bad one if they just used google.

You can't get the source for the gui - but since the gui was never a part of the
original freebsd source, it's a non-issue. Unless you count x-windows: but the
source for the x-windows implementation under MacOS X is also available.

As a side note, any mac can be booted easily into a raw Darwin/freebsd single-
user shell by holding down "s" while booting.

I figured anybody that had the slightest idea what the Gnu Public License was
would already know that Apple had complied with the licensing from the very
beginning. You've even been able to download a current set of intel source (and
generally compiled binaries) since the initial release of MacOS X - one reason a lot
of people suspected that Apple was keeping a parallel development effort running.
