- Where are the Media Center PCs?
-
I haven't seen any Xbox or Xbox 360s used as media extenders. I agree that when
they came out both were very cool and have been expanded over time. I don't see
them being used as links from PCs to TVs. Where is the cool software that makes
it easy to get my stored content and put it on the output device I want? That is
what most people see in Apple TV, ease of use with something they have gotten
used to on the computer where the files are, iTunes. iTunes + Quicktime does the
heavy lifting on the computer and then sends the audio and video to the Apple TV
box. There is of course the possibility that the HDD and other parts inside nobody
has noticed yet will be used in the future for even more neat things, which
someone else may already be doing. Till then the Apple TV does something I
would like to do and does it with simple elegance. - Posted by: Mr_Dave Posted on: 01/16/07 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
