DVR with DirectTV
my directtv dvr was doing the same - freezing up,, etc. after waiting for approx 25 mins. i was told i could reset back to factory settings; seems to have worked for now (3 days). of course i lost all recordings, favorites, etc but that would have happened with a new box.
