Set Top mess.
what are so wrong with integrating SAT and Digital Cable decoders with VCRs and
Other DVR devices? Then we dont have to Depend on Compatibility. We can use
functions we know quite well by now. Infact the FCC has already said that
Providers cannot legally force consumers to use a BOX in order to View services.

So when can I buy a VCR with a Digital tuner built in? I dont much care if it records
in standard. I just want to be able to make use of my Service, considering Im not
even home when the Programs are On!

Personally, I see a few options. Including but not limited to the use of integrated
Products, and even a Consumer end Device that enables a user to select a number
of Digitized channels that the Box automatically passes on over Multiple Channels,
not just 4 or 3. Thereby enabling a VCR or even my Computer to Record Multiple
programs over multiple channels.
