Being a DirecTV+ DVR customer myself, I've not only had the problem described here but also others that I'm more concerned about. My DVR has been crashing with alarming frequency, especially when I'm playing back recorded content. The screen will generally either freeze or go black and the DVR will not respond to the remote or front-panel buttons until a soft reset is performed using the red button next to the access card. I'm an avid Stargate fan, and when half of my weekly episodes crash my equipment every time I attempt to play them, it's very irritating. Being a full time student with a job and several extracurriculars, I haven't yet had time to call DirecTV about the issue, but I'm hoping I can at least get a replacement DVR with improved performance. However, that also means I'll lose all those episodes I was never able to watch. Heh.
While I'm on the topic of the DVR, I've always wondered what the USB ports on the front and back of the box were actually for. I assumed they were for transferring video to a computer to burn it to a disc, but all the manual said was "For Future Use."
