Umm hate to tell you this, but Apple Inc? is a hardware company. They made OS X not (O$X) to sell hardware. Next!


Is this why they offer software suites that run on O$ X(excuse me). You are saying the "i" suite of apps, dev tools et al are designed only to sell hardware? I don't buy it. Next.



The iPod doesn't support .wma or .wmv files as the license required by
Microsoft would prohibit Apple from selling "fairplay" tracks. So Microsoft is the onerous one here. Next!


first, it's nice to hear you admit $teve Job$ and crew do use onerous licensing, evidenced by your usage of the word "here" in this statement. But there is nothing keeping apple from allowing wmv files to be "played" on an iPod, is there? Apple chose, for financial reasons, to NOT ALLOW playback of .wmv, .wma (not originating from MTV URGE et al) because they are greedy and corrupt. There are people with tons of wmp files. Apple is the ONEROUS one here.. next



The intel Macs can natively load windows, the real question is why? Being that windows is not as good as OS X (and cost twice as much). The real question is why would anyone want to use it on Apple hardware? The only answer I could think of
is for Microsoft to further abuse it's monopoly position. Next!


WRong again. Windows is not as good as O$ X. hmmm...facts? The facts are you CAN buy a complete Windows OS to run on any hardware of your choosing. Apple only sells upgrades (patches) for 129.00 a pop. Nobody, including your arrogant A$$ really knows how much of the cost of a Mac is O$ X. There is no way to know without internal apple accounting documents.

Monopoly position. hmmm...here we go again. The abuse monopoly power by marketshare, but O$ X is more secure and marketshare is a "myth". You are so deluded it's not funny. I've said before many times, an apple zealot will tell you marketshare has NOTHING to do with security, but at the same time it can turn humans into zombies chanting "no choice". What a load of crap. next

charges $199 for a service pack (windows xp is NT 5.1 and windows 2k was NT 5). Yet when Apple replaces the Kernel and adds more applications, they (Apple) should give it away for free? What's Microsoft's next service pack going to cost? I
believe it's anywhere from $159 to $329. Next!


what a joke. So MS has not had a new OS since win95. Ok, whatever you want to believe. Changing to a new platform on your powerpc users is the thing to do. Then steal/borrow the entire engine using BSD. (developed originally by darpa with taxpayer dollars making O$ X just another federal goverment project, paid for by taxpayers like me...you I doubt...with a stolen gui slapped on it. Apple has never innovated nor written their own code for any substantial piece of their system. $teve Job$ is good, I'll give you that. Good at stealing other ideas, like synaptics, PARC, BSD etc etc and branding it Apple. wheee.
