That, and the fact that there's no decent movies in EITHER format
Neither format is actually listening to customers or offering them anything compelling. So far it's all about DRM, lockdowns, high prices, fear of choosing the "wrong" format, etc. Are they really surprised that nobody is buying?

I predict the "winner" will be the first format to release "Lord Of the Rings".
