True, but
Yes there is a write-cycle limit on most all current solid-state memory technologies, but... For newer non-volatile technologies (like FRAM) the these limits are huge (in excess of 10 billion cycles. It would take many, many years in the most demanding applications to reach this limit, far in excess of the useful life of PC's. So even though there is a limit, it really is insignificant compared to the life-cycle of the reat of the hardware.
