Does it play for sure with older WMV content

does it play for sure with its partner's or other device makers/service providers content programs. Being backward compatibly and friendly to existing would go somewhat further in its attempt to gain on the people's choice of Apple. And yes, advertising is a key component, . . software and hardware that doesn't use the advertising channels is often held back in marketshare. Look at other good operating systems, other good portable DVRs or portable music devices, . . . not fulfilling the advertising end holds them back to fringe marketshare instead of breakthru. And for a lifestyle device like the iPod, defeating that market penetration is near impossible. MS will have to hope that they just get enough to justify the entry into the market, that dominance isn't the end goal but taking a significant piece of the pie (and really hope that the other makers don't express their burned positions by partnering up with other OSes).
