- i bought a new HP before BFriday. It cost about 1400$ at SAmsClub. Pricing and features were a big factor. So was the huge monitor that came with it. It's widescreen and easy on the eyes. The reason i bought it, A salesman at CircuitCity in Vestal told me I could put DDR2 in my DDR ram slot on my old PC that I built. I didn't think they were backwards compatible but the salesman convinced me. I tried it and it fried my ABIT motherboard I had in it. So since CircuitCity wasn't going to take any responsibility for this at all I vowed never to shop there again and bought a new HP at Sams.

Not sure if HP is justified, but Sony's products have improved...
