Sony holds secret sale on HDTVs

Sony has turned into such a terrible company that I wouldn't have taken a free one, either, and I'm not kidding. I went into our local Sony store in the mall and pretty much posted the following (with links) in Notepad on some of their computer monitors, and none of the employees could argue with me.

1. Sony owes $244 million in ADDITIONAL backtaxes to the Japanese government, not to mention the $650 million they already owed for misrepresenting game sales. http://www.gamespot.com/news/6153438.html

2. Sony secretly installed rootkits on users' computers who legally purchased their music cds, then harrassed them when they tried to use the call service to get the rootkit uninstaller. Of course, the rootkit uninstaller in and of itself was impractical and actually allowed for viral attacks of a user's computer. http://www.gamespot.com/news/6153438.html feel free to check out Mark Russanovich's blog, the guy who found the rootkit and put it in the press.

3. And this one doesn't even really need a link; any idiot can walk in a store. The PS3 is %599 base price. The XBox 360 is $399. The Nintendo Wii is $250. Even in comparison to the other two, *base price* 599??? Blue-Ray capabilities or not, that's just horrible overkill. They're probably trying to make up for their terrible backtaxes.

Bite me, Sony. Keep your TV's. :P
