- I agree With You Lud but.....
- The "whole library" as I understand it is not readily available at launch, in fact it may come down to Nintendo porting the most popular games for download. Regardless its still gonna be alot cheaper (and more fun to boot!), to download Nintendo's great list of classic games than to pay the Yearly assorted FEES of the other two boxes to dowload just a few entertaining games from an overcrowded library filled with snoozers. I mean come on, how many Xbox titles besides Halo (which was 'sposed to be on PC first) are remarkable or will stand the test of time? And for that matter name a few playstation heroes that you are looking forward to having more adventures with ( Solid Snake was out on nintendo as Metal Gear first!). Now lets see.... the big N can boast Mario, Metroid, Smash Bros., Donkey Kong, Mega Man, Castlevainia, Blaster Master, Ikari Warriors, Exite Bike and Truck, Kung Foo, Prince of Persia, Kid Icarius, Pikmen, Warrio Ware, Kirby, Deadly Towers, Golden Eye oo7, Final Fantasy, Eternal Darkness, Earthworm Jim, Trauma Center, Monkey Ball, Star Fox, Battalion Wars, Rogue Squadren, on and on and on... Oh yeah I heard a little game called The Legend of Zelda might make the grade too! So listen to all the Techno Buff's cheese on about the hardware when its really all about the games, the excitement and wonder of exploring something new, something different, or reinventing the experiance and making it accessible to others who would not ordinarily try it. Instead of just having to have the biggest most expensive power hungy, HD, Dvd, Internet surfing, media storage, esspresso grinding, dishwashing, Ex-marital aid/defliberator! Big N has been about invention all along as seen in the calculated fun factor of the above titles and the mad scramble by others to try and emulate them. Playstation cant seem to get an original idea as seen by their shameless last minute try at motion control (which is good that they recognize inovation but its not enough). Microsoft can throw money at publishers all they want but to find people who are inspired you have to show them new possibilities and gamble on the creative edge. Playstation tried with a game called Katami Damacy but the finished product wasnt all it could have been, Guitar hero was fun as a Dance Dance Revolution for your fingers but anybody who plays guitar knows the fruad of that games mechanics. Nintendo also comes with a great multi player game right out of the box showing their appreciation to fans even at the risk of angering developers. So its clear to me who has all the real ideas and as well who has respect for their base. Make mine a Nintendo
