So with the Mac, I'm forced to pay for features I don't want? That makes me sad. I guess if you did an unwanted feature to feature comparison, the Mac costs the same but who does that? In a "features I want in my computer" to "features I want in my computer" comparison, it seems to me that $1,000 is still 2.5X more than $398 or is there something wrong with my math?

just like a copy of msft's windows, I'm forced to have their OS features. what's worse, is that in Vista I have no choice to uninstall them, I get to turn them off instead.

That's it, I've had enough of this hardware lock-in. I'm selling my old Mac and all my OSX software and I'm moving to an OS that doesn't trick me into believing that $1,000 is about the same as $398. Anyone know which is better: Linux or Windows? Thanks in advance!

hey, I could use another mac around here. this time install yellow dog onto it as I already run OS X. what's your asking price?
