Ain't it great?!?!

They pay $25 for a battery that they charge us $250 for? Quite a nice markup. Yes, I'm bitter. I've five notebooks from various manufactures and all need batteries because they die after six months to a year (Lithium Ion types). But the cost of replacement batteries is just ridiculous. Even from after marketers.

Also, they talk about how very few people will ?respond? to the recalls, well I?d respond if they?d recall but they put a very narrow list of serial or part numbered batteries on their lists even though a much wider number than they publish are in the potentially bad lots and then they?ll say people didn?t respond to the recall. A case in point I have one Dell pack from an 8200 that used to get so hot that it distorted the plastic case but it never caught fire before it developed an ?error? (fast blinking battery led) and would not hold or provide more than two to three seconds of life. But it?s not on the recall; it was out of warranty so too bad. I use the machines but the batteries simply go bad in short order and we have to pay ten times what they paid to get ?em replaced.
