Technically speaking...
when exactly were we supposed to "get a mac and be done with it"?

This article actually proves the statement. First you get a Mac. Then you are done (as in: can't use it anymore) with it. But don't be too hard on Apple. Not only do they make the nicest looking paperweights, they also make an incredible amount of money doing it (right tic?). I don't quite understand why the Mac cultists are proud of the fact that their beloved company makes so much money ripping them off but I have to admit that I don't quite understand many things about Mac cultists.
