wrong market
If you look at the stats, the "casual gaming" group which the Wii is aimed at is different from the online gaming community... the people who do the MMORPGS are the ones who the XBox and PS3 are catering to... they aim for more "serious" gamers...

as well, in order to do multiplayer offline, you need the system and extra controllers... no matter *what* system it is. without the internet, multiplayer Halo still requires the people AND the extra controllers... in the end, the Wii is only missing the networking/internet.

That's it. No other flaws, no huge achilles heel... you obviously are missing the point of the Wii... and that point is that you don't need to devote time to getting the controls, you don't need to be the true gamer... and the online games are aimed at gamers...

Nintendo is aiming at a different market, and by doing so, it's going to thrive. It won't just compete against the other NextGens, it'll compete well.
