Moore's Law...
ain't just for microchips. But it only applies if they're actively working on improvement. I can remember room sized computers costing millions of dollars and hearing people say computers would never catch on. If as much focus were put on energy harvesting as is put on microprocessor advances, our oil consumption would be solely for plastic resins. It's all about priorities and who is setting them.
